Highlighted in the manifesto is the declaration of 2025 as the ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Year,‘ aiming to celebrate indigenous pride. The BJP promises ‘One Nation One Election’ and advocates for a ‘single electoral roll’ system.

The manifesto focuses on empowering women, aiming to bring forth more ‘Lakhpati Didis‘ and ensuring zero electricity bills through the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. Additionally, it pledges support for India’s bid for the 2036 Olympics, implementation of the National Education Policy, and legislation against paper leaks.

Aiming for ambitious economic goals, the BJP aims to elevate India to the status of the world’s third-largest economy and establish it as a global manufacturing hub.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by top BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and party President JP Nadda.

JP Nadda highlighted the government’s achievements over the past decade, attributing them to the clear mandate given by the people. He emphasized milestones such as the abrogation of Article 370 and the enactment of the women’s reservation law.

The manifesto’s formulation involved a comprehensive process, including a manifesto committee chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The committee deliberated on the contents after gathering suggestions through various channels, including the NaMo app and video submissions.

The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held from April 19 to June 1, 2024, across seven phases. The outcomes will be announced on June 4. With approximately 970 million eligible voters, these elections are pivotal in shaping India’s political landscape.

Furthermore, the legislative assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Sikkim will coincide with the general elections, along with by-elections for 35 seats across 16 states.
