CPI (M) and INDI Alliance Want to Make India Powerless by Nuclear Disarmament Amid Regional Nuclear Threats: PM Modi addressed a public meeting in Barmer, where he criticized the CPI (M) manifesto’s call for eliminating nuclear weapons in India. He expressed concern, stating that at a time when two neighboring countries possess nuclear arms, such a move would weaken India’s position.

PM Modi questioned the intentions behind the CPI (M) manifesto, labeling it as part of the INDI Alliance, which, according to him, aims to render India powerless. He emphasized his efforts towards strengthening the nation while condemning the opposition’s alleged agenda to undermine its security.
The Prime Minister also took aim at the Congress party, accusing it of failing to address long standing issues during its decades-long rule. He cited the water crisis in Rajasthan as an example, asserting that his government’s ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ has made significant strides in providing water to households.
Highlighting alleged corruption in previous schemes, PM Modi reiterated his commitment to transparent governance. He credited his administration for pushing through projects like the ERCP in Rajasthan, which he claimed were previously stalled.
Further lambasting the Congress, PM Modi criticized its role during the Emergency period, accusing the party of attempting to subvert the Constitution. He claimed credit for initiating the celebration of Constitution Day and enhancing pilgrimage sites associated with national figures like Baba Saheb.
Asserting the sanctity of the Constitution, PM Modi pledged to protect it from any threat, even hypothetically suggesting that not even Baba Saheb himself could destroy it. He reiterated his government’s commitment to upholding the principles enshrined in the Constitution.
The Prime Minister also touched upon upcoming elections in Rajasthan, where BJP candidates are contesting against Congress rivals. He expressed confidence in securing a significant victory, attributing public support to disillusionment with the Congress’ track record.
With Rajasthan set to go to the polls in two phases on April 19 and 26, PM Modi’s remarks highlights the political stakes in the state. The BJP’s dominance in previous elections and its promises of development and security remain central to its campaign strategy.
In Barmer, the BJP has fielded union minister Kailash Choudhary, while in the Dausa constituency, reserved for Scheduled Tribes, BJP’s Kanhaiya Lal Meena is contesting against Congress’ Murari Lal Meena. The electoral battle in Rajasthan is poised to shape the state’s political landscape for the foreseeable future.
