Expressing her unwavering commitment to the country, Banerjee declared, We are ready to shed blood for the country but will not tolerate torture for the country. She emphasized her belief in fostering harmony among all religions and asserted, A uniform civil code is not acceptable. I want harmony among all religions. Your safety. Your life. No NRC, no CAA.”

In her address, Banerjee criticized the BJP government, accusing them of misusing central agencies. She highlighted concerns about the consequences of such actions, stating, “If there is a blast, they (BJP) send NIA to arrest everyone. By arresting everyone, your country will become desolate.” She emphasized the importance of unity and urged people to remain calm in the face of provocation.

Extending her greetings for Eid-ul-Fitr, Banerjee conveyed her wishes for happiness, peace, and prosperity to all. She acknowledged the significance of the occasion and praised the dedication of those who observed the month-long fasting during Ramadan.

Meanwhile, several other prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, also extended their wishes for Eid-al-Fitr.

Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, and the beginning of Shawwal, the tenth month of the Islamic calendar. The celebration varies in different parts of the world, depending on the sighting of the moon, usually with a one-day difference.

The festive occasion symbolizes joy, unity, and spiritual renewal for millions of Muslims worldwide.
