In a fiery campaign speech ahead of the Lok Sabha polls in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), labeling it synonymous with corruption and accusing it of fostering a state of lawlessness, or “jungle raj.”

Addressing a rally in Gaya, PM Modi blamed the RJD for the deteriorating state of Bihar, asserting that the party failed to deliver tangible progress during its tenure.
PM Modi accused the RJD of presiding over an era where kidnapping and extortion flourished, leading to a pervasive sense of insecurity among women in Bihar.
He criticized the opposition alliance, derisively referring to it as the “Ghamandiya (arrogance) Gathbandhan,” alleging that it lacks vision and confidence and relies on the achievements of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for garnering votes.
Taking a swipe at the opposition’s absence from the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, PM Modi accused them of insulting Lord Ram and pandering to a particular community for political gains.
PM Modi also lambasted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin for their remarks against Hinduism, portraying them as threats to the faith.
Amidst the campaign fervor, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its manifesto, branded as “Modi ki Guarantee,” emphasizing development, women’s welfare, and a roadmap for a developed India.
The manifesto, hailed as a “guarantee card,” pledges three crore houses for the poor, free rations for five years, free healthcare for senior citizens, and the continuation of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.
Notably, the BJP manifesto outlines aspirations for India to become the third-largest economy globally and a global manufacturing hub.
Bihar is poised for polling across seven phases for its 40 Lok Sabha seats. In the previous 2019 elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), comprising the BJP, Janata Dal-United (JDU), and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), secured a landslide victory, winning 39 seats out of 40.
The Mahagathbandhan, led by the RJD, Indian National Congress (INC), and Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP), managed to secure only one seat.
As the election fervor intensifies, all eyes are on Bihar as voters prepare to exercise their democratic rights from April 19 to June 1, shaping the political landscape of the nation for the 18th Lok Sabha.
