The inauguration of the Shakti festival commenced today at the revered Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, Assam. From there, the festivities will travel to six other Shaktipeeths located in Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Tripura, Gujarat, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh, culminating at the Shaktipeeth Maa Harsidhi Temple in Ujjain on April 17th, 2024.
The festival, organized under the series of Kala Pravah (कला प्रवाह), aims to rejuvenate and promote the diverse performing arts heritage of India.
